Babylon is building a team to launch its new business in Canada, headquartered in downtown Vancouver.
The Medical Director, a part time role, is one of the three senior roles that will lead the Canadian business. The Medical Director will be responsible for leading clinical recruitment and training to ensure regulatory compliance and a high quality of service. Implementing Babylon’s global standards, the Medical Director will be a role model and mentor for the clinical workforce and will provide day-to-day advice and support, with overall responsibility for their quality of work.
The ideal candidate is a licensed physician and practicing clinician with a background in Family Practice and an interest in healthcare technology and innovation. Experience that includes health technology and/or leadership gained serving on provincial/local committees plus a demonstrated ability to partner with a wide range of stakeholders is key. This is a business and clinical leadership role. Business acumen, strategy and visioning skills are all required.
