Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking a Patient Relations Representative, who acts as a single point of contact and liaison between patients and families and hospital staff and services. The Patient Relations Representative is responsible for receiving, investigating and responding to patient/family feedback regarding any aspect of care or service with the objective of satisfactory resolution, ensuring consideration is given to individual wishes, cultural, spiritual, religious and ethical beliefs.
In addition to receiving and supporting patients and families with care concerns, the patient representative identifies organizational opportunities to enhance the quality of care and contributes to the development of a people-centred, team-based, learning environment.
The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in human services, social work, psychology, or a related field, from an accredited university. We are looking for a minimum of five (5) years’ recent experience working in a hospital or healthcare type environment, and demonstrated ability dealing with multiple complex issues and leading positive collaborative change. Preference will be given to applicants with some experience in data analysis and presentation, and leadership skills. Bilingualism is required for this position, and the successful candidate must have advanced-level French reading, writing, and comprehension, and speaking skills.
