Our Research & Innovation Mandate

The increasing complexity of health and healthcare demands an ongoing focus on patients, a recommitment to research and the acceleration of the spread and uptake of research results. HealthCareCAN is committed to expanding overall research capacity, supporting the spread of innovation and advancing research in support of overall service excellence in health by:

  1. Advocating for sufficient funding and favourable policy for the generation and use of research and innovation;
  2. Expediting the spread and translation of research and innovation in collaboration with members and partners such as the Canadian Institutes of Health Research; and,
  3. Advancing national recognition of the leadership, best practice, research excellence and enterprise of members.

#SupportTheReport Campaign

HealthCareCAN encourages you to continue your advocacy efforts to #SupportTheReport. As part of our #SupporttheReport campaign, we have created a page that includes a series of ads that feature our members health discoveries, as well as Op-Eds and Columns in support of the Fundamental Science Review’s health-related recommendations. If you have discoveries that you would like us to feature in future ads, please email Alexandria Rowe.
