Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) has delivered major health service programs including Cancer, Women’s & Children’s Health, Emergency Health Services, and Mental Health & Substance Use Services across British Columbia for over a decade.
PHSA has a unique role in BC’s health authority system: to ensure that BC residents have access to a coordinated provincial network of high-quality specialized health-care services. PHSA works in partnership with the province’s health authorities and health-care professionals to improve access to evidence-informed practice closer to where people live and to effectively promote health, manage chronic conditions and reduce the burden of illness.
In addition to clinical service delivery, a focus of PHSA’s mission is to enhance, support, and enable one system of care across BC. To better meet this need, a newly configured role of EVP, Business Operations has been created. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the EVP, Business Operations is responsible for leading business operations within PHSA, as well as consolidated non-clinical support services enhancing value across the province. Leading a team of more than 2000 employees, the new EVP will have the opportunity to effect systemic change, ensuring finely tuned best business practices converge with health care system management. Key to success is building trusting and human relationships with partners across the province.
