Vice President, Quality & Patient Centre Care, Horizon Health Network
Horizon Health Network (Horizon) leads the way in bringing innovation and efficiencies to deliver sustainable, affordable, safe, and quality health-care services to residents of New Brunswick, northern Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. One of the largest employers in New Brunswick, an operating budget of approximately $1.2 billion and five locations across the province, Horizon operates 12 hospitals and more than 100 medical facilities, clinics and offices providing medical services ranging from acute care to community-based health services. Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Quality & Patient Centred Care is responsible for planning, administration, budgeting and evaluation of the Patient Centred Care Strategy Corporate Performance Metrics, and acts as the executive leader for Quality, Patient Safety, Risk Management, and other associated clinical support departments. Aligned with Horizon’s 2021 – 2026 Strategic Plan, the Vice President, Quality & Patient Centred Care will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to provide results aligned with Horizon’s values and lead improvement of safety and quality care initiatives. The Vice President, Quality & Patient Centred Care will also lead supporting clinical departments aligned with the delivery of excellent clinical care. The Vice President participates in the creation of an environment that supports creativity and innovation in the delivery of patient care while empowering and mentoring individuals to lead and provide outstanding care and service.
As the ideal candidate, you are an experienced senior leader with a graduate degree and 10+ years of progressive health care leadership experience in quality improvement, planning and performance. You have demonstrated a record of success in leading and executing large scale operational initiatives and strategies to achieve results in a rapidly changing healthcare environment. Your exceptional interpersonal and communications skills will enable you to effectively develop relationships and foster buy-in with key stakeholders who support Horizon’s vision and mission. You are a collaborative manager with significant experience in planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs. You can quickly understand complex systems and identify creative solutions and your keen understanding of the bigger picture that allows you to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality and safety improvements that others overlook. Bilingualism is considered an asset.
