Earlier this week HealthCareCAN and our conference co-host partner organization, the Canadian College of Health Leaders, was excited to once again be hosting the National Health Leadership Conference.
This event, held virtually again this year, is the largest gathering of health leaders in Canada and is a tremendous opportunity for us to connect with our members, showcase advances and health system improvements and stage the Great Canadian Health Policy Dialogue, the NHLC’s signature session.
As those who attended well know, the opening of the NHLC was unfortunately delayed by a power outage that affected the virtual platform staging the conference. We offer our sincere apologies for any confusion or inconvenience this caused.
On the positive side, we were very pleased that delegates participating in the Great Canadian Health Policy Dialogue united to produce A Call to Action to Create Meaningful and Sustainable Change for Canada’s HealthCare Workforce. This compelling document provides government with 5 clear actions to address Canada’s healthcare workforce crisis.
We have also received very positive feedback concerning the quality of speakers and presenters during the event. We are very appreciative of our delegates’ patience of our technical issues and we are very pleased they found the content engaging and thought provoking.
Murphy’s Law may well hold that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, but HealthCareCAN is committed to learning from this year’s challenges and ensuring a smooth NHLC next year. We look forward to seeing you all as we return to holding the even in-person in Toronto, June 6-7, 2023.
Sincerely,
Martine Bouchard
