Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking an innovative individual for the position of Physiotherapist in the Cardiac Inpatient department. The successful incumbent will provide rehabilitation services to cardiac clients and their families through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to optimize client physical and social performance and autonomy.
The ideal candidate will have Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario with current rostering or intent to roster with the CPO for the authorized acts of Oxygen Administration. We are looking for someone with a minimum of six (6) months’ experience working in evidenced-based approach to service delivery. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation department, within a health care environment.
Cardiac Inpatient has become a focal point for community support, achieving international recognition for its clinical services. New procedures, both in the operating room and in the cardiodiagnostic area, such as beating heart surgery, complex valve surgery and percutaneous coronary interventions have kept HSN’s Program at the leading edge of cardiac care. Cardiac rehabilitation is an integral part of the continuum of health care provision to cardiac patients and acts as a resource to other programs in the northeast. Join our multi-disciplinary team!
