*** In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Northern Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $6,300. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
We are looking for an individual who knows that being a nurse is a calling and is passionate about bringing care to those who are remotely located. Rainbow Lake is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide both home care and public health services to the area. This unique role will be part of a small team providing care where it is needed. You will be an integral part of your community where you will enjoy a work life balance. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating client care, education, chronic disease management, health assessments, wound care, and ADL support.
You will collaborate with individuals, caregivers, and community resources to support healthy living and community connectedness. Your strong interpersonal skills will be used daily as will your strong documentation capabilities. Located on the traditional lands of Treaty 8 and the beautiful lands of the Metis, Rainbow Lake is approximately 876 KM northwest of Edmonton and offers a stunning wilderness in your backyard.
