In addition to our semi-annual Board of Directors and Vice Presidents of Health Research committee meetings, HealthCareCAN hosts a variety of events throughout the year to bring health leaders across Canada together to learn from and help each other, as well as to advocate at the federal level for issues affecting the health system.
Please take a look below to find out how HealthCareCAN can bring value to your organization as a member!
Presented by HealthCareCAN and the Canadian College of Health Leaders, The National Health Leadership Conference (NHLC) is the largest national gathering of health system decision-makers in Canada including trustees, chief executive officers, directors, managers, department heads and other health leaders representing various sectors and professions in health regions, authorities and alliances, hospitals, long-term care organizations, public health agencies, community care, mental health and social services.
HealthCareCAN and the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) – co-hosts of the National Health Leadership Conference (NHLC) – have developed a policy forum that offers health leaders a unique opportunity to debate and advance policy resolutions that reflect the current Canadian health system context and address the most pressing issues facing the healthcare system and health leaders today.
Each year, HealthCareCAN hosts its members-only “H on the Hill” event, where we facilitate meetings between our members and their MPs on Parliament Hill to discuss issues and challenges facing our member organizations.
HealthCareCAN, in partnership with the Canadian College of Health Leaders, hosts a limited space, invitation-only event to engage our member CEOs in open and honest discussion – under Chatham House Rule – on the challenges and issues that define the future of health in Canada, while fostering practical reflection and networking to identify paths forward.
