HealthCareCAN welcomes the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency as its newest member

June 30, 2026 (Ottawa) – HealthCareCAN, the national voice of hospitals, health authorities, health research institutes, and healthcare organizations across Canada, is pleased to welcome the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (SCA) as its newest member.

“The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency is proud to join HealthCareCAN and collaborate with partners across the country who are committed to improving cancer care and outcomes for all Canadians,” said Deb Bulych, President and CEO, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. “Through this membership, we look forward to sharing our experience and learning from others to continue improving care for patients and families, wherever they live.”

The SCA has provided cancer control for people in Saskatchewan for nearly a century. Their over 1,000 employees are committed to providing clients, patients and families with safe and high-quality treatment, early detection and prevention programs, and innovative research, and are dedicated to continuously improving the delivery of their programs and services.

“We are pleased to welcome the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency to HealthCareCAN’s national network. SCA’s mandate reflects the kind of integrated, patient-centred approach that strengthens outcomes and improves access to care across diverse and often rural populations,” said Michelle McLean, President and CEO of HealthCareCAN. “Their leadership in delivering care closer to home, advancing research, and supporting patients throughout the cancer journey will be an important contribution to pan-Canadian collaboration and innovation in cancer care.”

By joining HealthCareCAN, SCA becomes part of a national network that champions health research and innovation, health workforce development, and policy change to improve care and outcomes for Canadians. Members also engage through HealthCareCAN’s national advisory committees and working groups which shape federal health policy and advance collaborative solutions across the sector.
