Canada’s Health CEO Forum is a limited space, invitation-only event to engage health leaders in open and honest discussion – under Chatham House Rule – on the challenges and issues that define the future of health in Canada, while fostering practical reflection and networking to identify paths forward.
HealthCareCAN advocates for solutions that enhance the health of Canadians. We engage health leaders, health researchers and policymakers to drive national conversations to transform health in Canada.
Do you have a team or group in your organization that would benefit from professional development? We will deliver significant savings to your training budgets when you enrol a team or group. If you have a team that wants to learn and progress together, we can offer them a closed-cohort where they can create a sense of community, share confidentially and securely, and put into immediate practice their learning.
HealthCareCAN represents its members at the federal level on all matters related to funding opportunities, policy development, and community building, with the common goal to drive transformation in health. This entails:
Each year in June, HealthCareCAN hosts its Annual General Meeting on the day preceding the National Health Leadership Conference. Participating members have the opportunity to meet and vote on important issues related to the operations of the organization, such as the membership fee schedule and organizational structure changes.
HealthCareCAN regularly publishes relevant news, information and insight on key healthcare topics to keep members informed of upcoming events, happenings and announcements of interest to healthcare leaders.
All members have the opportunity to provide content twice a year that will be sent via email to all HealthCareCAN member contacts and shared on social media. HealthCareCAN contacts include hundreds of health professionals and leaders across the country.
To keep our members informed on leading practices and upcoming health policy changes, HealthCareCAN hosts webinars that members are free to join at their leisure. Some past topics have included: Best practices in addressing the opioid crisis, Mandatory reporting of adverse drug events (Vanessa’s Law), The role of food in healthcare, and AMS Canada and the National AMS Action Plan.
Members are invited to opt-in to receive daily clippings on health news from across Canada in their inbox each morning. A weekly clippings service is also available to those who do not wish to receive an email each day. Many of our members use this service to help them develop their communications strategies and measure success.
If you are currently employed by a member of ours and would like to receive daily or weekly news clippings in your inbox, contact us at the link below:
The HealthCareCAN website is heavily frequented by health professionals and students, which makes it the ideal location to post health-related employment opportunities. HealthCareCAN is happy to provide free job postings on our website to full members ($500 value), and a 50% discount on job postings to our Associate and Affiliate members.
It’s hard to always be on top of the latest developments in Canadian health and research. HealthCareCAN is here to help take the pressure off you, and keep you informed on urgent and emerging issues that you care about, such as the implementation of new laws and policies that affect you (ex. Mandatory reporting of adverse effects), and opportunities to influence policies being developed by governments (ex. Phamacare).
The successful sustainability of the Canadian health system doesn’t happen in a vacuum, that’s why HealthCareCAN is a member of the International Hospital Federation, which provides its members with a platform for the exchange of knowledge and strategic experience as well as opportunities for international collaborations with different actors in the health sector. As a member of HealthCareCAN, we can pass down the benefits of membership to you.
