HealthCareCAN members and their executive teams engage in our national member committees and groups to strengthen our collective advice to the federal government, connect with peers across the country, and contribute directly to shaping federal health and health-research policy.

Advisory Committees

Health Human Resources Advisory Committee (HHRAC):

Brings together People and Culture leaders from across Canada to provide counsel on workforce policy, leadership development (through CHA Learning), and system needs.

Health Innovation Advisory Committee (HIAC):

A forum of senior leaders shaping HealthCareCAN’s advocacy on health system transformation, innovation and policy.

Vice Presidents of Health Research Committee (VPRC):

Comprises national research leaders who guide our policy positions on health research, innovation and commercialization.

Working Groups

AI Working Group:

A network of HealthCareCAN member experts advising on priority areas and investment opportunities to accelerate the integration of AI across Canada’s health system.

Clinical Trials Working Group:

A network of HealthCareCAN member experts advancing federal policy recommendations to strengthen Canada’s clinical trials ecosystem.

Rural, Remote and Northern Health Working Group:

A network of HealthCareCAN member experts advising on the federal government’s role in addressing the unique health workforce and healthcare delivery challenges in these regions of the country.

Health Infrastructure Working Group:

A network of HealthCareCAN member experts identifying recommendations to best implement the Health Infrastructure Fund, including eligibility requirements and how best to align the federal and provincial governments to maximize uptake of the federal (matching) funding.
